Energy ministry & IFC spark private sector power line investment in Laos

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The development of Laos’ power transmission grid will receive a strong boost from private investment after the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement was signed yesterday by Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr Thongphat Inthavong, and IFC Manager for Infrastructure and Natural Resources, East Asia and the Pacific, Mr Lubomir Varbanov.
